The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has made the decision to implement the Saudi Product Safety Programme (SALEEM) by launching the SABER platform for online Certification for Exports to Saudi Arabia.

                    The products covered by the Technical Regulations are referred to as Regulated Products. The Conformity Assessment Process for the Regulated Products are the following:

Stage 1: Issuance of Product Certification of Conformity (PCoC).

Stage 2: Issuance of Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC).

                    As a procurement specialist we need to gather all information and attend seminar conducted by SASO together with different accredited laboratory in KSA. This is part of the training and need to implement immediately in our importation process. At the beginning, most of our orders abroad was hold and delayed because of this compliance from SABER. However, because of continuous learning and with coordination with CB (Certified Body) our company able to come back in a normal operation in just one month.

                This is when my journey started, since I was able to familiarize all the process in SABER and understand how to comply all the needed requirements from the CB. I decided to make a proposal to all importers and provide them my assistance as a freelancer. It was advantage from my side because there were only few people who is aware in this process and most of the company still didn’t adopted the new implemented SALEEM program. After I post my ads in the expatriate.com many companies started to communicate with me and ask for quotation. Right now, I have completed 10 projects with different companies and they are very satisfied because all the imported goods were received on time without any issues or problems from the Saudi Customs. The trust and appreciation I received from my clients was really an accomplishment.
